Born with an insatiable thirst for spiritual wisdom, Brahmasri Thavathiru Thiruchitrambala Swamigal delved into a quest to satiate his profound inquiries. Despite seeking guidance from numerous spiritual mentors, he found solace and clarity only upon encountering the revered Guru Swami Sivanandha Paramahamsa. Under the tutelage of Swami Sivanandha Paramahamsa, Brahmasri Thavathiru Thiruchitrambala Swamigal not only found answers to his questions as a seeker but also delved into the teachings of Vaasi Yogam and other ancient spiritual practices.
The journey didn’t end there, when Swami Sivanandha Pramahamsa revealed that his enlightenment was indebted to the teachings of the ancient Siddhar Bohar; driven by an unwavering resolve, Brahma Sri Thavathiru Thiruchitrambalam Swamigal went on a solitary pilgrimage to the Panchavanna Cave in Palani, where Rishi Bohar had bestowed his blessings upon Swami Sivanandha Paramahamsa. Enduring physical hardships and spiritual trials, he immersed himself in meditation for six months, seeking the blessings of the Siddhar. His determination proved fruitful, when he finally received Rishi Bohar’s blessings. Brahmasri Thavathriu Thiruchitrambala Swamigal then asked Rishi Bohar about the identity of his ParamaGuru ( Grand-Master). Siddhar Bohar cautioned that encountering his Parama-guru could pose a risk to his very life; despite his warnings Brahma Sri Thavathiru Thiruchitrambala Swamigal remained resolute. Rishi Bohar, pleased by his dedication and determination revealed that his revered Parama-Guru was Maharishi Agasthiyar. He followed Rishi Bohar’s instructions on how to access the presence of this esteemed sage.
The extraordinary journey of Brahma Sri Thavathriu Thiruchitrambala Swamigal to meet sage Agasthiyar was fraught with challenges.He Endured various physical hardships along the way towards the cave, where maharishi’s presence could be accessed. Upon reaching the cave and beholding its tranquil lake, he encountered Pulathiyar, a devoted disciple of Maharishi Agasthiyar. In a display of deep wisdom, he patiently responded to Pulathiyar’s 1000 inquiries, earning the privilege of meeting Maharishi Agasthiyar himself.
In the presence of revered sage Agasthiyar, Brahmasri Thavathiru Thiruchitrambala Swamigal received divine blessings and deep revelations. He eventually expressed his desire to stay and serve Agasthiyar, but was instructed to return to Appupally, Kerala, his home town and serve the people there.
Following Agasthiyar’s instructions, Brahmasri Thavathiru Thiruchitrambala Swamigal returned to his homeland, imparting spiritual teachings and offering remedies and guidance to the locals. His selfless devotion and compassionate service touched countless lives, instilling a sense of peace and harmony within the community.
Years passed, and in 2008 Brahmasri Thavathiru Thiruchitrambala Swamigal transcended this realm and attained Jeevasamadhi, leaving behind a legacy of spiritual wisdom and benevolence that continues to inspire generations.
A disciple after dedicatedly serving and journeying alongside their Guru for over 12 years, receives initiation and transmission of profound yogams.
